Patient Care Services
Kindred Hospitals use a multidisciplinary team approach to care that helps our patients return to the highest quality of life possible. Our areas of patient care services include:
Physicians
Your clinical treatment is the chief responsibility of your physician. As a member of the medical staff, your physician makes the necessary arrangements for laboratory services, X-rays, medications, special diets and any other treatment or service.
The medical staff consists of credentialed physicians and allied health professionals, with a wide range of specialties including pulmonology, gastroenterology, neurology, nephrology and wound care services. The hospital provides an in-house physician from 8 pm to 7 am daily to meet patients’ needs after the usual hours of primary physician visits.
Nursing
Our Nursing department strives to provide high quality nursing care and positive outcomes. The nursing units are structure to provide advanced hospital care utilizing an interdisciplinary team approach in the planning and provision of services.

Our team of licensed and experienced respiratory care practitioners work closely with the medical staff to provide superior care for the complex respiratory and ventilator needs of our patients.

The department also has a restorative care component offered to patients who do not meet the criteria for skilled rehabilitative services, helping to maintain their limb mobility during their stay.
Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy (PT) aims to help patients reach their highest activity level. Treatments may include, but are not limited to, therapeutic exercise, transfer training, gait and balance training, hydrotherapy and mechanical debridement for wound healing, splinting, and issuing of equipment such as canes and walkers to promote independence.
Occupational Therapy

They address hand and arm strength and coordination, and restoration of tasks such as eating, grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, and homemaking. They may also provide specialized positioning products, and hand splinting. Additionally, OT educates patients in using specialized products such as reachers and dressing sticks to promote independence with activities of daily living.
Speech Therapy

ST also assesses the patient’s communication ability in the areas of speech mechanics, voice and language. ST programs may include oral motor exercises, swallowing technique training, speaking valve training, cognitive re-education, and the use of communication boards.
